Join us every Tuesday evening from May 4th through September 14th (longer if the weather holds) for weekly training sessions. If there is interest, we will provide a brief review of specific skills every week from Hill Climbs and Descents to Group Riding and Cornering.

Rides will leave from Endurosport's Leaside location at 6:30pm sharp (Click for location details). Please come 10 minutes early your first time out to fill out the rider form.  Riders need to be comfortable riding in a group and in traffic. Rides will often be run in Sunnybrook Park and the Bridal Path Loop to minimize the amount of traffic we have to deal with but the courses noted below are subject to change.   All riders must wear a helmet and have a well tuned bicycle. The duration of the ride will depend on daylight hours initially and will increase in duration as the season progresses.  Intensity of rides will also increase as the season progress so come out early to get ready for the harder work later in the season!

Week Skill Leader     Loop 1 (Hospital Hill)  – N. on Laird - enter park via Leaside and then loops from lower Leaside parking lot up along speed bump straight to the top of hospital hill.

If the number of riders exceeds 7-8 then there will have to be a split for safety. Some days and with some participants in some locations it will not be possible to safely run intervals or hard efforts – that is the ride leader’s responsibility to determine and adjust workout or route.

Ride Leader's Choice

We do our best to accommodate riders of every level. These questions are a great pre-ride tool to determine your level of comfort. If you would answer "no" to any of these questions, make sure you check in with the ride leader for a little extra assistance before the session.
  1. Are you comfortable riding in traffic?
  2. Are you comfortable with other riders in close proximity to you?
  3. Do you understand all the hand signals used by cyclists to indicate turns, stops, slowing and obstacles on the road?
  4. Do you understand all the short phrases used by cyclists to quickly convey information on the road?  Car up, Car back, tracks, on your left.
  5. When did you last have your bicycle serviced and is your bike in good working order?
  6. Do you understand the inherent risk of injury or death with cycling?
See you Tuesday!
