Haussler Visits Enduro Sport

Monday, September, 21 2009

Andy, Greg and myself made it for the photo op and the roll around with Heinrich.  Heinrich is a really good guy.  All smiles and chatting with everyone.  We got a couple of good shots with just Heinrich and us.  Very cool experience chatting with a guy that knocks heads with Boonen, Cavedish and Chavenel.   Asked him about Cavendish and he said he shoots off his mouth too much and has to grow up.  He says Carlos is a very good guy.

Heinrich wants to focus on the classics next spring and then the Worlds in Australia.  The team will meet as a group next week at Interbike to discuss the racing calendar.  He says each team member has a lot of input into their racing calendar.   Heinrich doesn't want to ride the tour next year so he can focus on the Worlds.  He'd ride the Veulta to get ready but drop out early if the pace is too hard.  He fully intends to race as an Aussie next year but still hasn't figured out the whole dual citizenship thing yet.  But he said, whatever it takes, he'll be riding for Australia at the worlds next year.

He loves Cervelo's bikes and I don't think he was just saying that.  He says they handle so much better than the Specialized bikes he rode while with Gerolsteiner.
